Serving as the point of contact for residential security matters between the RSO, General Service Office (GSO), Facilities Maintenance (FAC), and landlords

• Emergency support

Providing support during an emergency

• Installing equipment: Installing security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, motion sensors, and secure phone lines
• Maintaining equipment: Maintaining and repairing security equipment
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing malfunctions and troubleshooting problems
• Testing: Testing backup batteries and all security features
• Educating clients: Ensuring clients know how the system works and teaching them how to create passwords
• Interpreting designs: Interpreting the designs and technical instructions of security consultants or design engineers
• Performing site inspections: Performing site inspections and studying building plans and blueprints
• Routing cables: Routing cables and drilling holes for wiring
• Mounting equipment: Mounting control panels, sensors, video cameras, and conduits
• Connecting systems: Connecting alarm systems to phone lines and internet connection.

• Managing security personnel: Overseeing security guards and other personnel, delegating tasks, and ensuring they are performing their duties
• Monitoring security systems: Using CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms to locate threats
• Responding to incidents: Coordinating response efforts, assessing the situation, and taking appropriate action
• Training new employees: Providing training and coaching to employees
• Conducting investigations: Performing investigations of incidents and interviewing witnesses
• Writing reports: Writing reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as theft, equipment damage, and unauthorized persons
• Maintaining security: Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and others
• Ensuring safety: Ensuring the safety of the people on the premises
• System administration: Configuring and managing duress/panic systems, installing control panels, and more

A security technician supervisor reports to the company's security manager and liaises with the on-site manager and staff.
